- Rowmark
trains at the Olympic Race Arena at Park City, site of
the 2002 Olympics. With the U.S. Ski Team and United States
Ski
Association (USSA) based in Park City, the area has become
the U.S. center for international racing.
- Utah's
unique winter climate provides an annual snowfall of between
500"-700". The winter weather is mild with low humidity
and plenty of sunshine.
- The
majority of competitions are within the Intermountain Division
of USSA. This includes areas such as Snowbird and Park
City, Utah, as well as Sun Valley, Idaho, and Jackson Hole,
Wyoming.
- Rowmark
has a complete summer skiing program. We run summer
camps in Whistler/Blackcomb in June, Mt. Hood in August,
Austria in October, and Colorado in early November, as well as in Mammoth and Chile.
- To
enhance safety in the speed events, we occasionally practice
at Bear Hollow, the new Olympic ski jumping facility in
Park City. After training on the smaller jumps, our skiers
feel
comfortable "in the air" - in preparation for speed events.
- We
believe our small size, 25-30 skiers, is essential to ensure
quality preparation.
